(Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:47-48, 19:4-5). Baptism by the Apostles was always by immersion. St. Paul states, “…we are buried with him by baptism…” (Romans 6:4-6).
Baptism by the Holy Ghost is a promise by our Lord Jesus Christ. (St. John 7:37-39) In order to enter into the Kingdom of God we must be born again. (St. John 3:5) The outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost marked a “new era” as prophesied by Joel (2:28-29) and (Isaiah 28:11). The Holy Ghost is the gift to all believers in this age of grace. The Holy Ghost bears witness that, “we are the children of God.” (Romans 8:16) The believer will speak with tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4, 8:17, 10:44-46, 19:6)
