Apostolic Church of God Muskegon

A Little Bit About Us...

Our Church is a place where people can come together to fellowship, have a good time, and enjoy the beauty of holiness. We are committed to providing transportation to church for those in need as well as necessities from our in house food pantry. In addition, we are dedicated to making our community a better place by providing educational activities, and the construction of a multiplex facility.

Our mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. To improve the wellbeing of people through God’s love, outreach, compassion, and building of family relationships.

Our Beliefs

Water Baptism was administered in the name of Jesus Christ. Matthew 1:21 states, “…for he shall save his people from their sins.” For there is salvation in “none other name” (Acts 4:12) “whereby we must be saved.” The Apostles from the Day of Pentecost always baptized in His name. (Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:47-48, 19:4-5) There is no biblical record of anyone being baptized using the formula, “In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” (St. Matthew 28:19) “The Great Commission” Jesus is the singular Name for the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Baptism by the Apostles was always by immersion. St. Paul states, “…we are buried with him by baptism…” (Romans 6:4-6).

Baptism by the Holy Ghost is a promise by our Lord Jesus Christ. (St. John 7:37-39) In order to enter into the Kingdom of God we must be born again. (St. John 3:5) The outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost marked a “new era” as prophesied by Joel (2:28-29) and (Isaiah 28:11). The Holy Ghost is the gift to all believers in this age of grace. The Holy Ghost bears witness that, “we are the children of God.” (Romans 8:16) The believer will speak with tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4, 8:17, 10:44-46, 19:6) “Speaking in tongues” as the Spirit gives utterance is the supernatural sign and witness of the Spirit indwelling in us.

“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.” Luke 24:45
